Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s Birthday was celebrated as Youth Inspiration Day at P.U.M School,
Kurungulam on 15th Oct 2015.
A science exhibition was conducted, students did prototypes and demonstrated
the experiments. The chief guest Mrs. Saraswathi Asst. Elementary Educational Officer (AEEO), inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Panchayat
Vice president Mr. Santhakumar, staffs, students, parents and other village
people.
Global Hand washing Day (GHD) is a campaign celebrated on 15th
October to motivate and mobilize people around the world to improve their hand washing habits by
washing their hands with soap at critical moments throughout each day. The
campaign is dedicated to raising awareness of hand washing with soap as a key
approach to disease prevention.
The JRC students organized this campaign to educate and emphasize the
students on the importance of hand wash in the presence of Mr.Kathikesan BRT for Nannilam Block and the Headmistress
Mrs. Mangalachelvi.
