The 68th Independence day celebrations started with the Prayer followed by Flag hoisting. The Flag was hoisted by Sr. citizen Sri. Ramamoorthy assisted by Sri. K.Chandrasekar.
At 9:00AM Head Mistress Smt. Mangalachelvi read the welcome note.
At 9:15AM Selvi. Brindha Devi read the annual report.
Master Akash, S/o Sri. Madhusudhanan entertained the crowd with brilliant music thru his keyboard.
Trophies, Medals and Certificates and other prizes were awarded to the winners in athletic events and other fun events. Prizes were distributed by the Panchayat President Sri. Jeganathan, Vice President, Sri. Santhakumar, senior members of the village and members of Ilaignar Narpani Mandram.
Sri. Sourirajan, AEO - Dept. of Education, Nannilam Taluk participated in the Independence day celebrations and distributed few prizes to the winners. He was hounred by the Head Mistress Smt. Mangalachelvi.
Vote of thanks was done by Smt.R.Uma Mageshwari followed by National anthem and sweets distribution.

At 10:00AM the long awaited cultural events started and the crowd thoroughly enjoyed the moments.Trophies, Medals and Certificates and other prizes were awarded to the winners in athletic events and other fun events. Sri K.Kannan handed over Rs.20,000/- to the Head Mistress Smt. Mangalachelvi for the Kalvipuravalar Thittam and now the school has 100 members with a corpus fund of Rs.1,00,000/-.Vote of thanks was done by Smt.R.Uma Mageshwari followed by National anthem and sweets distribution.
